The Indian team reached the famous restaurant ‘The British Raj’ for Diwali dinner before the second ODI match against Australia in Adelaide.
The entire Indian team including Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma was seen in this dinner. However, head coach Gautam Gambhir and batting coach Sitanshu Kotak were missing from the dinner scenes.
The challenging conditions in Perth led to the dismissal of the Indian giants, who had been making their international comeback since March 2025.
The series is now in Adelaide for the second ODI against Australia. This is the same ground where Virat Kohli has shown his class on many occasions.
Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma arrive for family dinner with the Indian team
The Indian team has been traveling to Australia for years, and they have been dining at this casual restaurant owned by an Indian man known for serving the best Indian food in the city.
The Indian team once again graced the restaurant as they followed their tradition of dining at the restaurant on every Australian tour.
Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli led the Indian side at the restaurant, as many Indian fans from parts of the Australian city arrived to watch their stars.
The Indian team along with the rest of the Indian support staff also reached the restaurant to celebrate the festival of lights with their second family, the Indian team. As mentioned earlier, Gautam Gambhir was not seen in the dinner scenes. However, he could join the team later.

Virat Kohli returns to his favorite Australian venue
Virat Kohli might have missed scoring runs in Perth; However, the biggest positive for them is their return to their most iconic venue in Australia.
Before the start of the second ODI in Adelaide, Kohli had played 12 matches at the venue and made some impressive records.
In all these matches, he has scored 975 runs at an average of around 65, with the highest score being 141 in Adelaide. He has scored a total of 5 centuries at this position, and one of them was a century against Pakistan in the ICC World Cup 2015.
In ODI matches, he has played in 4 innings and the Indian batsman has scored 244 runs with an average of 61, which is the highest among all the active cricketers in the IPL so far.
India’s record at Adelaide Oval is not so memorable
Although Virat Kohli has an exceptional record on this ground, the Indian team does not have a good record against the Australian team. India has played 6 One Day Internationals at this venue and has won only on 2 occasions.
While this record may not instill much confidence in the Indian team, especially after Australia’s impressive win in the first ODI, the Men in Blue can take heart from the fact that both wins came in the last two ODIs against Australia.
