Youth India U-19 batting sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi has revealed its new role model in Indian cricket, which has seen modern great people like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. Vaibhav was present at the stand during the Indo-England Test, nominating the new Test Captain Shubman Gill as his role model.
The 14 -year -old was seen on 3 July in Edgbaston on 2 day of the second Test between India and England. Suryavanshi, who visited England with India’s U-19 team, was seen in the players’ balcony with his U-19 team colleagues, who take Shubman Gill and the Indian team with the bat.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi called Shubman Gill a role model. Suryavanshi said that it was inspiring to watch the game with his comrades. He also said that representing India in red-ball cricket remains a dream for every young cricketer, including himself.

“I’m feeling very good. This is my first test in England and I see how the game is going on. I am feeling very good. We all came to see the matches. We got a lot of inspiration. Shubman Gill is a role model for us. Everyone is a role model for our country,” Vaibhav Suryavansi said in a video shared by BCCI.
Shubman Gill breaks record with Stunning Double Century in England Test
Shubman Gill gave a record-breaking performance in the second Test with 269 runs, making India a big post of 578. He changed the match in India’s favor and also broke several records.
Gill now holds a record for the highest Test score by an Indian captain in England, who crosses 179 of Mohammad Azharuddin. He also left Sunil Gavaskar (221 in 1979) for the highest score by an Indian in England.
Gill became the first Indian in two decades scoring 150 or more in a test in England. The 25 -year -old batsman is the second youngest Indian captain to have recorded only a dual century in tests, behind Mak Pasudi and ahead of Sachin Tendulkar.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi continues red-hot form after explosive IPL debut season
Vaibhav Suryavanshi had a sensational start IPL season. The left -handed batsman scored 252 runs in just seven matches at a shocking strike rate of 206.55. He scored a century off just 35 balls against Gujarat Titans (GT). Southpow also earned the “Super Striker of the season” award.
Suryavanshi has carried out that form in India’s ongoing England tour in India. He scored 48 runs in 19 balls, scored 34 runs, and scored 86 runs in just 31 delivery in the first three young ODIs. The opener played an important role in helping India take a 2–1 lead in the five-match series.
With the remaining two young ODIs and two red-ball matches in the series, young Southpo will aim to continue their speed and end the tour on a strong note.
