Former England cricketer Nick Knight recently chose its 21st century United India-England Test XI, leaving India’s largest modern stars. The cricketer-turn-commentator left Indian superstar Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah from their shee during the segment of ESPN Cricinfo ‘The Draft’.
England and India are playing a five -match Test series. The team led by Ben Stokes took a 2–1 lead in the ongoing series, with the fourth Test match starting on Wednesday, 23 July at Old Trafford, Manchester. As the hosts have targeted to achieve the series, India will look back to bounce back and level the competition.

Nick Knight chose Alastair Cook and Virender Sehwag as openers in their 21st century United India-England Test XI. Knight mentioned its opposite styles, with Cook’s ability to create an innings and Sehwag’s aggressive approach.

The former batsman chose Michael Vaughan at number 3, a decision that has criticized India’s impressive record of Rahul Dravid and Cheteshwar Pujara in that situation.
Knight put Sachin Tendulkar at number 4 in his lineup. However, Tendulkar’s inclusion in that situation caused Virat Kohli’s lapse, who have excelled at the same place for India.

Nick Knight completed his middle order by selecting Kevin Peterson at number 5, followed by Graham Thorpe number 6. Former India captain MS Dhoni was selected as a wicketkeeper at number 7 in the lineup.
For the bowling department, Knight opted for a motion trio by meeting Zaheer Khan, Stuart Broad and James Anderson. Graeme Swan was included as the only spinner in the playing XI.
While the fast-bouwaling unit looks malignant, especially with the new ball, there is a lack of balance in the side due to the absence of an all-rounder. Knight nominated former Indian leg-spinner Anil Kumble as the 12th man.

England aim to clinic the series in the fourth Test against India
England made a positive debut for the five -match Test series, winning five wickets in the initial game in Headingley. However, he suffered a huge shock in the second Test in Birmingham, where India dominated and defeated him 336 runs.
Ben Stokes’s side fought a closely with a 22 -run win in the third Test at Lord’s. Defending a minor target of 193 in the final innings, England excluded India for 170 on the fifth day, leading the series.
With 2–1 benefits, England now have a chance to seal the series in the fourth Test at Old Trafford. There a win will not give them a 3–1 lead, making a series victory with a match to ensure that still play.
