Virat Kohli, Gautam Gambhir interrupted each other in Australia, zero communication

Indian legend Virat Kohli’s equation with the rest of the Indian dugout, barring head coach Gautam Gambhir, has been the same as always. The two have not been seen engaged in any conversation, putting Virat Kohli’s chances of continuing at the forefront under threat.

India lost the first match of the India vs Australia ODI series that started in Perth and now it is preparing for the next match to be held in Adelaide. In this phase of preparation, eyes are constantly focused on the head coach and the two veteran batsmen who have returned to the Indian camp after a long time.

While both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have been seen in their usual form, giggling and smiling, mentoring their junior cricketers and guiding new captain Shubman Gill, their equation with the Indian coach has been under scrutiny.

Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir avoid serious conversations during Australia tour

Virat Kohli reached India and joined the Indian team during the tour of Australia. He has been a much-loved character among the Indian players and has a charming personality in front of the glitzy dressing room. But on the other hand, his equation with former teammate and head coach Gautam Gambhir is once again on the radar.

After the loss in the first game, and Kohli also failing to score runs with the bat, the duo were believed to be seen engaged in talks regarding the team’s strategy going forward in the series. However, with no such incident happening, they have not been seen interacting with each other even once.

While this may not indicate any tussle between the two, it does weaken Virat’s chances of retaining his place if his top spot doesn’t last him till the next World Cup. However, unlike Virat, Rohit has been seen with the head coach on several occasions.

Rohit Sharma was seen having a long batting session with Yashasvi Jaiswal

Since his return to the Indian team, Rohit Sharma has been seen involving himself with young cricketers. He was seen chatting and giving advice to new captain Shubman Gill, and now he has been seen giving some valuable batting information to young Yashasvi Jaiswal.

However, according to RevSportz reporter Rohit Juglan, even though Rohit looks normal on the outside, he is not the same Rohit Sharma everyone knows. Juglan perhaps hinted at Rohit’s carefree and fun-loving side, which we have seen highlighted many times when Rohit was struggling for form.

Rohit Sharma also missed a run in the first ODI and his worries have increased even more than Virat Kohli’s, with India traveling with the third opening choice in the form of young Yashasvi Jaiswal.

Pressure is increasing on Gautam Gambhir to reinstate Kuldeep Yadav in the eleven.

Gautam Gambhir has once again said that playing multiple all-rounders in the team is a more reliable option than playing with his best players in the XI. He played with three all-rounders, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar and Nitish Kumar Reddy in the first Test and left out Kuldeep Yadav from the eleven.

Kuldeep, on the other hand, has been the standout bowler for India in recent times as he has made a stellar comeback in both the Indian T20I and Test XI. Many former cricketers have once again questioned his absence and urged Gautam Gambhir to bring him back into the team for the Adelaide ODI.
