Virat Kohli’s future in international cricket has become a topic of discussion after his dismissal in the second ODI of the ongoing three-match series between India and Australia.
After being out for a duck in the opening match of the series, Virat Kohli failed to open his account in the second ODI as well. The former India captain was dismissed by Xavier Bartlett for a duck in four balls as he registered back-to-back ducks for the first time in his illustrious ODI career.

However, his failure with the bat soon overshadowed his expressions after being dismissed. While returning towards the pavilion, Virat Kohli was seen welcoming the fans by raising his gloves, which was an unusual sight after staying at the crease for so long.

Many have interpreted this gesture as a farewell message from Virat Kohli. The veteran batsman has already retired from T20Is and Tests and many believe that his days in ODI cricket are numbered.
Although Kohli’s future is uncertain at the moment, his fan following still remains strong. As India landed in Sydney for the third ODI on Friday (October 24), the batting star was surrounded by his fans at the airport. Fans flocked to the arrivals area to get a glimpse of the legendary batsman. Kohli also gave autographs and selfies to the fans.

Virat Kohli eyes a strong end to the series
Virat Kohli will be keen to improve with the bat in the upcoming third ODI. The right-handed batsman has not scored a single run in the series and will be desperate for a good end to the Australia tour.
Team India will also be desperate to avoid whitewash by winning the third ODI. The Men in Blue have already won the series after losing the first two games and will be looking to finish the series with a win. After the ODI, India and Australia will face each other in the five-match T20 series.
