Speaking on Atharva Sudam’s YouTube channel, Brett Lee said that Virat Kohli’s intensity, fitness and competitive mindset would make him a perfect fit in any Australian team. The former fast bowler praised Kohli’s work ethic and his ability to combine humility off the field with aggression on the field.

Lee said, “First and foremost, Kohli. I know Kohli is now at the last stage of his career and I had the opportunity to play against him. But I think Kohli could have fit in any Australian cricket team in his heyday. He had the aggression and fitness ability.”
“He worked very hard on his game. He got in players’ faces without being too aggressive. Great guy off the field, and that’s something Australia are proud of. We want to be aggressive, but off the field we also want to be the kind of people that other people want to be associated with.”
