Indian cricket legend Virat Kohli has praised the brilliant effort of the Indian women cricketers in chasing the record target against Australia Women in the ICC Women’s World Cup semi-final. He has also praised the excellent innings of Jemimah Rodrigues.
Indian women registered a prestigious win against the Australian team in the semi-finals of the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 and will face South Africa Women in the World Cup final. This is just the second time Australia has lost a World Cup semi-final, and both times the opponents were the Women in Blue.

Jemimah Rodrigues was promoted up the order for India after replacing Harleen Deol. He played an extraordinary inning of a century, while Harmanpreet Kaur supported him by playing an inning of 80 runs. India chased the highest score in women’s cricket, that too in a World Cup semi-final.
2011 World Cup winner and Indian legend Virat Kohli posted on his Ax handle, glorifying India’s win over the defending champions and praising his team’s effort.
