Virat Kohli and actress Anushka Sharma have expanded their real estate portfolio by purchasing a luxury apartment in Mumbai. The new house is located in the Godrej Skyshore project in Versova and reportedly costs ₹18.29 crore, which is close to Kohli’s ₹21 crore IPL 2026 salary with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
Kohli last played for Team India in the three-match ODI series against England. The Shubman Gill-led Men in Blue suffered a 1-2 defeat despite winning the opening match of the series. After returning to India, the former Indian captain visited Premanand Ji Maharaj’s ashram in Vrindavan with Anushka Sharma.
Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma bought apartment in Versova
According to property registration documents cited by Hindustan Times, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma bought a luxury apartment in the Godrej Skyshore project in Versova. The carpet area of the apartment is 2,644 sq ft and is located on a high floor.
The property also has an exclusive area of 316 square feet and three dedicated parking spaces. Notably, the couple reportedly paid ₹18.29 crore for the apartment. The deal was registered on July 21, 2026, with stamp duty of ₹1.09 crore and registration fee of ₹30,000.
The purchase works out to approximately ₹69,159 per square foot. Versova has become one of the most sought-after luxury residential locations in Mumbai due to its proximity to the entertainment industry and major infrastructure projects.
Virat and Anushka already own several premium properties across India, including a 7,171-square-foot apartment in Worli, a luxury home in Gurugram and a farmhouse property in Alibaug.
Virat Kohli returned to action during England ODI series
After missing the home series against Afghanistan due to a hamstring injury, Virat Kohli recently made his return to international cricket during India’s ODI series against England. After the tour, he and Anushka Sharma visited Premanand Ji Maharaj’s ashram in Vrindavan.
The former India captain had a quiet start to the series, scoring five runs in the opening ODI, but was trapped LBW by Jofra Archer. However, he bounced back with scores of 65 and 74 in the remaining two matches.
Kohli finished the series with 144 runs at an average of 48 in three innings. However, India lost the three-match ODI series 2–1 after England won the last two matches.
Virat Kohli ready for West Indies ODI series
Virat Kohli is expected to return for India’s next ODI Against West Indies. The three-match home series begins on September 27, marking the beginning of India’s 2026–27 domestic international season following the Test tour of Sri Lanka.
The first ODI will be played on September 27 at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram. The second match will be held on September 30 at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati, while the series will conclude on October 3 at the Maharaja Yadvendra Singh Stadium in New Chandigarh.
India will have a busy ODI schedule after the West Indies series as they prepare for the 2027 ODI World Cup. The team will travel to New Zealand for a five-match ODI series later in the year before hosting Sri Lanka for a three-match home series in December.
