Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) has announced the 50-member probable list for the upcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy. According to the official statement, senior batsman Virat Kohli and wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant can join the team after completing their commitments with the Indian cricket team.
Virat Kohli is set to make a comeback for Delhi in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. This will be his first List A match for the state since the 2009–10 season. Delhi has been placed in Group D of the tournament starting on December 24. They will compete with Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Services, Railways, Haryana and Gujarat.

Delhi selectors met on 10 December 2025 to finalize the probable players for the upcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy. The selection panel, coaching staff and DDCA officials attended the meeting, which resulted in approving the team shortlist for the 2025-26 domestic ODI season.
The selectors have finalized the list of probable players for the Delhi Senior Men’s Team for the upcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy (domestic season 2025-26), the statement said.

Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant ready to join Delhi for Vijay Hazare Trophy
DDCA confirmed that the probable group for Vijay Hazare Trophy includes players from the recent Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy squad. He also announced that Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant will strengthen the team.
“The probable list includes the players selected for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy squad. Additionally, Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant will be included in the squad for the Vijay Hazare Trophy,” the statement said.
Kohli last appeared in the Vijay Hazare Trophy during the 2009–10 season. He has not played a 50-over match for Delhi since 2013. During his initial stint in the tournament, he scored 819 runs in 13 matches at an impressive average of 68.25, which included four centuries.
Delhi will play matches against Andhra Pradesh (24 December), Gujarat (26 December), Saurashtra (29 December), Odisha (31 December), Services (3 January), Railways (6 January) and Haryana (8 January) in the group stage.
The team is hopeful that after recent struggles in the Ranji Trophy and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Kohli’s presence can bring the much-needed breath of fresh life to the team.
