In a small corner of Gariband district of Chhattisgarh, a couple of cricket fans got a one -time opportunity to talk to their heroes Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers, thanks to the silver Patidar, and for which they used to call themselves lucky, as others die just to get a glimpse of them.
On June 28, Manish Bisi, a resident of Madagaon, son of farmer Gajendra Bisi, bought a new Jio SIM card from a mobile shop in Devobog. After the establishment of WhatsApp, he noticed that the display picture was not his own, but Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Rajat Patidar.
Chhattisgarh villagers accidentally talk with Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers
Initially, Manish and his friend Khemraj admitted that it was a technical mess or even a mischief. When he started receiving calls from Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers and Yash Dayal, the situation took a real turn. Even Kohli and Dayal asked them why they were using Patidar’s number.

Additionally, he also spoke to AB de Villiers, who were speaking in English. However, Manish and his friends did not understand a single word, but this moment was unforgettable for him. Whenever the call came, Manish often passed the phone to Khemraj, which is a difficult fan of Virat Kohli.

Khemraj shared the experience of speaking with Virat Kohli
Khemraj was told by PTI: “I never thought that I would talk to Virat Kohli one day, and that too from our village. When AB de Villiers called, he used to talk in English. We could not understand a word, but we were very thrilled.
When Manish received a call, he used to hand me the phone. The callers who identified themselves as Virat Kohli and Yash Dayal, asked us why we are using Patidar’s number. We explained to them that we had bought a new SIM, and this is our number. ,
On July 15, Rajat Patidar himself called Manish and asked him to return the SIM card. First, friends thought that it was a joke until the RCB captain warned the police in the matter.

Silver Patidar warned of police action
Soon after, Gariaband Deputy Superintendent Police Neha Sinha clarified that the sim was deactivated after 90 days as per telecommunications rules and Manish was re -handed over.
Neha Sinha was told by PTI: “Manish was actually calling from cricketers who were in contact with silver Patidar. Patidar informed the Madhya Pradesh Cyber Cell that his number was allotted to someone else and requested to return it.”
Later, Rajat Patidar approached the Madhya Pradesh Cyber Cell, stating that their old number was being used by someone, and requested them to return the SIM. This was not completely the fault of Manish and Khemraj, but the incident gave an experience that only the dreams of most fans were dreamed.
Manish’s brother Deshbandu Bisi said, “Even though it was all due to a mixture, this conversation happened with a sheer luck. People only dream of seeing them; we got to talk to them.”
