A girl named Richa accused the DC cricketer of first befriending her and then promising her marriage and then having physical relations with her at his stated residence of Lemon Tree Hotel in Noida.
Tanu Baliyan writes, “He repeatedly misbehaved with the girl and kept threatening her and even forced her to make a video at gunpoint, in which he told her that the girl would not tarnish his image, would not spoil the atmosphere by crying and complaining and would settle the matter.”

Furthermore, nasty allegations have been leveled against player Vipraj Nigam that he is abusing his power and influence to swing things in his favour. The reporter has claimed that the girl is allegedly pleading for justice, but no one is listening to her.

On the other hand, Vipraj Nigam told Times of India that he has been receiving threatening messages from several international numbers since September 2025 and alleged that the woman had claimed to file false complaints against the cricketer if he did not comply with her demands.
“Initially, the call was made from a mobile number, but when I blocked it, the same person started using multiple foreign numbers to harass me,” the report quoted the cricketer as saying.
Vipraraj also accused the woman of circulating objectionable and fabricated material, including fake videos related to the cricketer, to damage his reputation. He told us that an FIR has been lodged at Kotwali Nagar police station in Barabanki district, and the Superintendent of Police agreed to it.

While Vipraraj stands firm, claiming that he has done no wrong to anyone and committed no crime, the country has turned him into a villain and wants justice for the girl, thus drawing criticism for the Delhi all-rounder.
In such circumstances, it remains to be seen whether the Axar Patel-led team will retain him or they will part ways before the mini-auction. It is noteworthy that in the last season he had taken 11 wickets and scored 142 runs with the bat.
