Team India wicketkeeper-boss Rishabh Pant shared a post on his official social media account to celebrate Independence Day on Friday, August 15. The 27 -year -old cricketer uploaded the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 celebrations with Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and other teammates.
India defeated New Zealand by four wickets in the final of the Champions Trophy 2025 in Dubai on Sunday, March 9. The Indian team also faced criticism for having ‘unfair advantage’ during the Champions Trophy, as they played all their matches at the same place, while the other seven teams had to travel.

In a video uploaded by Rishabh Pant, Team India was seen in the final of the Champions Trophy on TV inside the dressing room. He started the ceremony after his victory over New Zealand.

During the video, Pant asked Rohit Sharma about taking stumps. Rohit quipped that he would not retire after every win. Pant replied that he really wanted him to play.
“Retirement Lelu? Every time it will win, Mai Mai Little Retirement Laying Rahunga.” [Retirement? I’m not going to retire every time I win]”Rohit said.
“Main Nahi said brother, we have to play.” [I didn’t say that, bro. We actually want you to play]”Pant replied.

India won 2025 Champions Trophy unbeaten
India completed an unbeaten run to claim the 2025 Champions Trophy. He started with a six -wicket win over Bangladesh, followed by one and six wickets against Pakistan. A 44 -run win over New Zealand in his final group match, he was the top group A.
Rohit Sharma’s side defeated Australia by four wickets in the semi -finals and then defeated New Zealand in the final to lose a match in the final to lift the trophy.
It was India’s third Champions Trophy title, earlier won in 2002 (as joint winners) and in 2013. He became the only team to win the tournament three times.

Dhruv Juraral had to keep stumps in Pant’s absence. The pants were excluded from the final test at the Oval. According to reports, the 27-year-old is expected to remember India’s Home Test series against the upcoming 2025 Asia Cup as well as the West Indies.
