The three-time IPL champions have recently made a strong comeback in the playoff race, but a worrying video of Chakravarthy has created huge concerns in the KKR camp. They were in a position where they could not lose a single game, but now, they are sweating over the fitness of their mystery spinner.

Kolkata Knight Riders team has already reached Raipur for their important IPL 2026 match against defending champions RCB on Wednesday. She has shared two videos from her trip on her social media handle, but Varun Chakraborty was not in either of them.

But now a video is going viral on social media, in which the mystery spinner was seen walking inside a hotel in Raipur with the help of crutches and a brace on his left leg. The video went viral on social media in no time and many fear that the injury could be serious.
There is no official update yet from Kolkata Knight Riders on Varun Chakravarthy.
The visuals looked quite worrying as Varun was applying very little pressure on his injured leg. With KKR still trying hard to stay in the race for the IPL 2026 playoffs, Varun’s fitness has now become one of the biggest concerns for the franchise.
However, Kolkata Knight Riders have still not provided any official update regarding the Indian spinner’s fitness or the exact nature of the injury. Furthermore, there is still no clarity on whether Varun will play any games for the franchise in the remaining matches of IPL 2026.
After a strong comeback in IPL 2026, Varun Chakraborty’s injury has given new tension to KKR.
The timing of the injury scare could not have been worse for Kolkata. After a poor start to the season, where they lost five of their first six games, the team has made a great comeback by winning four consecutive games.
Their spin attack, which includes Sunil Narine, Anukul Roy and Varun Chakravarthy, has been the reason for their sudden turnaround this season.
