Vaibhav Suryavanshi broke all the records this season

In the game against the Orange Army, he almost broke the record for the fastest century by scoring 97 runs in 29 balls. During that game, he became the first uncapped batsman to score the most runs and 600+ runs with a strike rate of over 200 in the same edition. In the same game, he became the first Indian batsman to hit the most number of sixes in an IPL innings with 12.

He also became the joint-most batsman with universe boss Chris Gayle to hit 10+ sixes in an innings. Vaibhav broke the West Indies legend’s record of hitting most sixes in an IPL season, hitting 59 sixes, while Gayle has crossed the 72 sixes mark in this season of the tournament.

Vaibhav also left Virat Kohli and David Warner behind by scoring the most runs in the power play in an IPL season. The southpaw scored 521 runs in the power play, the most, and is the only batsman to cross the 500-run mark in terms of power play runs.

After Rajasthan Royals were eliminated from the IPL after losing to Gujarat in Qualifier 2, the southpaw was seen crying and sad as he has been excellent for the franchise this season. After the match, Riyan was seen hugging Parag inside the dressing room.
