Rajasthan Royals (RR) young player Vaibhav Suryavanshi is making waves in IPL 2026 with his explosive batting. In his last match, he scored a century in just 36 balls against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
In a video posted by the franchise on its social media handle, Suryavanshi was seen interacting with two young fans and joking with them.
I take 100 rupees. For photo- Vaibhav Suryavanshi
In the video, RR players can be seen waiting in the airport lounge when two children approach Suryavanshi for a photo.
Suryavanshi joked with him by saying that he charged Rs 100 for each photo. The fans eventually gave him Rs 200. Since there were two of them, Suryavanshi refused to take money and happily took a photo with them.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi in IPL 2026
15-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi is competing against people much older than him for the Orange Cap. He has scored 357 runs in 8 matches and is currently the second highest run scorer this season.
Suryavanshi’s runs have come at a tremendous strike rate of 235 and a healthy average of 45. He has scored two fifties and one century. All three half-centuries came in just 15 balls and the century was in 36 balls.
He has also hit 32 sixes this season, which is currently the most by any batsman. Recently, he became the fastest (based on balls faced) and youngest batsman to score 1,000 runs in men’s T20 cricket.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi is also the only uncapped batsman to score two centuries in the IPL. During his innings against SRH, he hit 12 sixes, the most by an Indian player in an IPL innings.
Performance of Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2026
Currently, Rajasthan Royals are at fourth position in the points table with 5 wins and 10 points from 8 matches. Despite making a strong start to the season with four consecutive wins, RR have lost 3 of their last 4 matches.
RR is currently tied with three other teams on 10 points, but has the lowest net run rate compared to the three. This could be crucial if RR are to make it to the playoffs.
In their last match, RR lost to SRH despite Suryavanshi scoring a century in 36 balls. RR’s middle order was unable to build on the platform given by Vaibhav, as they finished with a much lower score than what could have been.
Thanks to half-centuries from Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan along with a brilliant innings from Nitish Kumar Reddy, SRH easily achieved the target of 220 runs. RR will have to face the so far unbeaten Punjab Kings in their next match on April 28 in New Chandigarh. Considering their current form, coming up against an unbeaten team will be no cause for concern.
