Team India’s young batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored a brilliant century for Bihar against Arunachal Pradesh in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025 match. The left-handed batsman registered the second fastest century by an Indian in List A cricket, leaving behind the likes of Yusuf Pathan, Urvil Patel and Abhishek Sharma.
Vaibhav recently played for India in the Under-19 Asia Cup 2025. He scored most of his runs against lower-tier opposition, including 171 against UAE. Vaibhav scored 261 runs in five matches in the tournament at an average of 52.20 and a strike rate of 182.52, which included one century and one half-century.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi becomes the second fastest Indian to score a List A century
Vaibhav Suryavanshi played a brilliant innings in the Vijay Hazare Trophy on Wednesday, 24 December. He became the second fastest Indian to score a List A century. The 14-year-old achieved the feat in just 36 balls while representing Bihar against Arunachal Pradesh in the Plate Group match in Ranchi.
Suryavanshi dominated the bowling and hit 10 fours and eight sixes. He completed his century by taking one run at the beginning of the 12th over.

Anmolpreet Singh scored a century in just 35 balls for Punjab against Arunachal Pradesh in the Vijay Hazare Trophy in Ahmedabad. Chasing the target of 165 runs, he remained unbeaten on 115 runs in 45 balls.
Australian batsman Jake Fraser-McGurk holds the record for the fastest List A century. The Australian reached the milestone in just 29 balls while playing for South Australia against Tasmania in Adelaide in October 2023.
