Left-handed Indian batting sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi has emerged as a prodigy in 2025. Playing the first game in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, he outclassed everyone, but now he has been ruled out of the rest of the tournament.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi played a brilliant innings while opening for Bihar in the first match of Vijay Hazare Trophy. With his innings of 190 runs off just 84 balls, he not only scored the fourth fastest century in the history of Vijay Hazare Trophy but also scored the fastest 150 in a List A game. He broke former Protea legend AB de Villiers’ record of scoring the fastest 150 runs in 10 balls.
Suryavanshi, who hit 15 sixes during the innings, has now become the player with the most number of sixes by an Indian in this format of the game. Earlier, Vaibhav Suryavanshi was seen in action in the U19 Asia Cup, where he also scored a brilliant century.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi ruled out of remaining matches of Vijay Hazare Trophy
Vaibhav Suryavanshi became a household name during the IPL and also became the youngest centurion in the history of the IPL. The 14-year-old made a stellar start to the Vijay Hazare Trophy but will now miss the remaining matches of India’s premier 50-over domestic tournament.
The 14-year-old sensation from Bihar has already missed Friday’s match against Manipur, as she has already traveled to the national capital for the Prime Minister’s National Children’s Award ceremony.
Following the conclusion of the programme, he will move on to a new series with the Indian Under-19 team as the team looks to prepare for the ICC Under-19 World Cup, which is scheduled to begin on January 15.

Suryavanshi has traveled to Delhi and will be awarded by the President of India Draupadi Murmu at a ceremony held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, the President’s residence.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s coach told the real reason for his absence!
As revealed by Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s childhood coach, Manish Ojha, the Indian youngster will be traveling with the Under-19 team to Zimbabwe as the squad prepares for the ICC Under-19 World Cup.
Ojha confirmed to Hindustan Times, “Vaibhav will not play today’s match as he is in Delhi to attend the Prime Minister’s National Children’s Award ceremony. He will be honored at the ceremony. He was to report at 7 am for the ceremony.”
“He will miss the remaining Vijay Hazare Trophy matches as he has to adjust to the U19 World Cup and hence will join the rest of the Indian team for the preparation matches,” he said. Bihar will have to move forward without its powerful opening batsman.
