India’s teenage batting sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi is creating waves in world cricket with every match of his. Vaibhav Suryavanshi has now achieved another major feat as he has made a huge jump in the latest ICC Men’s T20I batting rankings after his heroics against Zimbabwe.

India completely dominated Zimbabwe and whitewashed them 3-0 in the three-match T20 series and the 15-year-old batting sensation played a big role with his fearless batting. His performances have now helped him reach new heights in the updated ICC T20 rankings.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi reaches career best ICC T20I ranking

Vaibhav Suryavanshi performed brilliantly with the bat in the T20 series. He finished the tour as the leading run-scorer with 151 runs in three matches at an average of 50.33. His consistent batting performances earned him the Player of the Series award for the first time in international cricket.

Now, the left-handed batsman has climbed an incredible 230 places in the T20I batting rankings to reach a career-best 48th position on the back of his stellar performance on the Zimbabwe tour.

This is a huge achievement for a player who has recently started playing international cricket. He now has 536 rating points in the updated ICC T20 batting rankings.

Meanwhile, Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan remains the No. 1 T20I batsman in the world. After a brilliant inning of 81 runs in the second T20 match against Zimbabwe, Kishan had reached the best rating of his career.

Although the left-handed batsman’s ratings dropped slightly after the Zimbabwe tour, he still sits comfortably at the top with 910 rating points. Following him in the updated ICC T20I rankings is Pakistan batsman Sahibzada Farhan with 848 rating points.

Kishan’s achievement is special because his career best rating of 916 points is now higher than the best rating achieved by his former Indian captains Suryakumar Yadav and Virat Kohli. In fact, only two players in T20I history have recorded a higher batting rating than Kishan.

Ishan has now overtaken the all-time records of Suryakumar Yadav (912) and Virat Kohli (909). Overall, Kishan’s rating of 916 is now the third highest in the history of T20I cricket behind Abhishek Sharma (931) and Dawid Malan (919) on the chart of best ICC men’s T20I batsman rankings.

Apart from Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Ishan Kishan, Tilak Verma moved up two places to sixth while Shreyas Iyer jumped seven places to 24th in the updated ICC T20I batting rankings. Spinner Ravi Bishnoi has moved up 31 places to 41st in the T20I bowling rankings after the Zimbabwe series.

Shubman Gill becomes number 1 ODI batsman

India national cricket team captain Shubman Gill has regained the number 1 position in the ICC ODI batting rankings.
