Patna recently witnessed a fiery moment in Ranji Trophy 2025-26 when young batting sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi channeled his inner Virat Kohli. Drama unfolded at the Moin-ul-Haq Stadium in Patna when Vaibhav Suryavanshi caught everyone’s attention with his aggressive avatar during the Ranji Trophy 2025-26 match between Bihar and Meghalaya.
In a bold move, Vaibhav copied Virat’s fiery and never-back-down personality on the field and now that fiery moment is going viral on social media. In the viral clip, the young Indian opening batsman was seen involved in a heated altercation with Meghalaya players on the Patna pitch.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi showed the power of Virat Kohli in the Ranji Trophy 2025-26 match.
The left-handed batsman was seen having some heated exchanges with Meghalaya wicketkeeper Arpit Bhatewara and the bowlers. However, the umpires stepped in before the situation turned into a full-scale confrontation during the Ranji Trophy 2025-26 clash.

The umpire managed to calm down the situation between the players as an angry Suryavanshi went back to his crease after some persuasion from his batting partner. The Bihar batsman’s anger reminded fans of Virat Kohli, who built his career on intensity and fearlessness.
The right-handed batsman, who is known for his fiery attitude on the field, never shies away from challenging the opponents and maintaining pressure and Vaibhav was seen doing the same with Meghalaya. Kohli’s bold, aggressive and fearless approach became an important part of the Indian mentality.

Meanwhile, Vaibhav Suryavanshi missed his maiden first-class century by just seven runs on the fourth day of the Ranji Trophy 2025-26 clash in Patna.
After the first two days were washed out by rain, Meghalaya declared the innings at 408 for 7, thanks to Ajay Duhan’s brilliant 129 runs and Swastik Chhetri’s brilliant innings of 94 runs.
Akash Chaudhary also played an excellent inning of 60 runs against Bihar. Bihar got very little time to bat on the final day, but Suryavanshi capitalized on it. The young left-handed batsman completed his half-century in just 33 balls with his free-flowing style.

He maintained the pace and looked to be on his way to a century but before being dismissed he scored 93 runs in 67 balls with the help of nine fours and four sixes. Bihar scored 156 runs for 4 wickets as the Ranji Trophy match between Bihar and Meghalaya ended in a draw in Patna.
The tremendous rise of Vaibhav Suryavanshi
The rise of Suryavanshi has been nothing short of extraordinary. The India Under-19 batting sensation first grabbed attention on his Youth Test debut against Australia last year when he scored a blistering 104 runs in 62 balls. But it was IPL 2025 that really made him a star.
At just 14, Suryavanshi became the youngest player to play in the IPL and made an unforgettable debut for Rajasthan Royals by hitting a six on his very first ball.
A few matches later, the Bihar batsman scored a century in 35 balls against Gujarat Titans, which is one of the fastest centuries in IPL history. He continued that form in the Youth ODI, where he broke the record for the fastest century.
