The drama surrounding young Indian batting sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi has taken a surprising new turn. According to Cricbuzz report, some senior Sri Lankan cricketers personally contacted Vaibhav Suryavanshi after the match and expressed regret over the incident. Interestingly, these senior players were not part of the Sri Lanka A team playing in the ODI tri-series match.
It is being said that he knows Vaibhav through his IPL connections and has talked to him earlier also. After hearing about the incident, he felt sorry for the ugly scenes that had unfolded in Dambulla and reached out to the teenage batsman.
Reports also suggest that many in the Sri Lankan camp were not happy with the way things unfolded in Dambulla. There was also a discussion inside the dressing room whether an apology should be made to the Indian team. after the match.
