Vaibhav Suryavanshi (born 27 March 2011) is an Indian cricketer who plays for the Bihar state cricket team. He is a left-handed batsman. He made his debut for Bihar in the Ranji Trophy at the age of 12 in 2024.
He hails from Tajpur village, about 17 km from Samastipur, Bihar. He started playing cricket at the age of 9 and was initially coached by his father.
At the age of 12, he played for Bihar U-19 in the Vinoo Mankad Trophy. He made his first-class cricket debut for Bihar in January 2024 at the age of 12 years and 284 days in the Ranji Trophy against Mumbai. This made him the second-youngest cricketer to play for Bihar in the Ranji Trophy and the fourth-youngest cricketer overall. He broke Yuvraj Singh’s record (15 years and 57 days) to become the youngest player in the modern era. The youngest overall Indian first-class debutant was Alimuddin, who was just 12 years and 73 days old, set by Rajputana in the 1942-43 season. In 2023, he played for India B U-19 team in the U-19 Quadrangular Series, scoring 177 runs in six innings including two half-centuries.
In September 2024, he made his debut for India U-19 national team in a youth friendly against Australia U-19. On debut, he scored a 58-ball century, the fastest by an Indian U-19 player, but was bowled out for 104 runs. His innings included 14 boundaries and four sixes. This was the second-fastest century in U-19 cricket after Moeen Ali’s 56-ball century for England U-19 in 2005.
