The United States of America (USA) has announced its 15-member squad for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2026, which will be played in India and Sri Lanka from February 7.
This will be the second appearance for the United States at the ICC T20 World Cup, having surprised many by reaching the Super 8 stage in their first World Cup at home and in the Caribbean in 2024.
USA announces squad for T20 World Cup 2026, Monank Patel retained as captain
For the upcoming mega event, USA picked 10 players from their 2024 T20 World Cup squad for the upcoming edition. And those players are captain Monank Patel, Jesse Singh, Andries Ghaus, Milind Kumar, Shayan Jahangir, Harmeet Singh, Nostush Kenzige, Shadley Van Schalkwyk, Saurabh Netravalkar and Ali Khan.
Patel was retained as captain for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2026. He will be one of the biggest forces for the USA in the T20 World Cup 2026. The experienced captain has already shown that he can lead the team on the biggest stage.

Under his captaincy, the USA stunned Pakistan in the 2024 T20 World Cup and reached the Super 8 in their very first match. As captain, Monck has led the USA in 35 T20I matches, winning 23 of them, tying three and resulting in one no result.
Corruption allegations sideline Aaron Jones; Three young guns set to debut in the United States
However, Aaron Jones was not named in the USA squad for the tournament, after their leading batsman was temporarily suspended by the ICC. The 31-year-old player has been charged with five breaches of the ICC Anti-Corruption Code. He has been given 14 days to respond to the allegations.
The case largely relates to the 2023-24 Bim10 tournament in Barbados, where he is accused of trying to fix or influence matches. The ICC has also accused Jones of non-cooperation, blocking investigations and failing to report approaches to corruption. Two of these allegations are related to international cricket.
Meanwhile, the United States could see some new faces in the spotlight at the T20 World Cup 2026. All-rounder Shubham Ranjane is set to make his T20I debut on the biggest stage. Apart from this, Mohammed Mohsin and Shehan Jayasuriya are also in line to make their debut in the tournament.

The United States has been placed in a tough Group A, where they will face India, Pakistan, Netherlands and Namibia. Their campaign begins with a high-pressure match against India at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on February 7, where the uncapped stars could grab the headlines.
