Tata Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, which moved from the western part of India to the southern part, as per the match number. 21, was between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Rajasthan Royals (RR). The Orange Army got off to the worst possible start as Jofra Archer struck once again with the very first ball of the match as he took the wicket of Abhishek Sharma as the batsman walked back for a golden duck. Then captain Ishan Kishan and Travis Head took charge and after the power play their score was 51/1.
After the powerplay was over, Parag came to bowl with two left-handed batsmen and got the wicket of Travis Head, who was out after scoring 18 runs in 18 balls. SRH captain Ishan Kishan completed his second half-century of IPL 2026 in just 30 balls. After this the southpaw and Heinrich Klaasen charged the RR bowlers.
Both the batsmen made a partnership of 88 runs for the third wicket and got the Orange Army out of a difficult situation. Kishan, once again, was excellent as he was out for 91 off 44 balls and missed out on a century in the game as SRH read 145/3 at the end of 14 overs.
Klaasen once again performed brilliantly and the South African cricketer played a good inning of 40 runs in 26 balls. Nitish Reddy’s explosive inning of 28 runs in 13 balls helped SRH cross the 200-mark. SRH could only reach a score of 216/6 as Salil Arora scored crucial runs with 24 off 13 balls, and they will feel that they were 20-25 runs short.
Set to chase, RR had the worst start as Vaibhav Suryavanshi was out for a golden duck, and then Dhruv Jurel was also out for another duck without opening the account, and Luan-Dre Pretorius was also back for a duck as Prafulla Hinz made a dream debut in the first over; He took three wickets in the first over.
Hinz demolished the RR batting lineup as he took his fourth wicket of the night, dismissing Riyan Parag for just four runs and putting the Royals on the backfoot as they were 9/5 after three overs.
