Updated Standings, Orange Cap, Purple Cap after MI vs SRH Match 41

Tata Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, match number 41, was between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the iconic Wakhede Stadium in Mumbai. It was another high-scoring game at this venue as SRH beat MI by 6 wickets. As the match ended with the defeat of another centurion.

After Hardik Pandya won the toss and elected to bat first, the five-time winner made four changes: Ryan Rickelton, Trent Boult, Robin Minnes and Will Jacks, replacing Quinton de Kock, Mitchell Santner, Sherfane Rutherford and Krish Bhagat. QDK and Santner were forced to make replacements as both were injured. Rohit Sharma also missed time and will take two more games to recover.

IPL 2026: MI vs SRH Match Result:

After electing to bat first, the opening pair, Ryan Rickelton and Will Jacks got the five-time winners off to a flying start as the pair scored 78 runs in the power play and were looking dangerous, but Nitish Kumar Reddy provided the breakthrough as Jacks returned to the pavilion after scoring 46 runs in 22 balls. The century was completed within 8 overs.

Suryakumar Yadav was out on another low score; However, Rickelton was a complete disaster in his comeback game as he brought up his half-century in just 23 balls and continued his demolition against the SRH bowlers. 150 runs were completed in 11 overs. Naman Dhir played the role of anchor by scoring 22 runs in 17 balls.

Ryan Rickelton scored a century in 44 balls and became the fastest batsman to score a century for Mumbai Indians, surpassing the record of Sanath Jayasuriya and Tilak Verma, who achieved the feat in 45 balls. Captain Pandya played a crucial role with 31 off 15 balls and Rickelton remained unbeaten on 123 off 55 balls, taking MI’s score to 243/5 in 20 overs.

Chasing the target, Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma made a great start and scored fifty runs in three overs with excellent strikes and took the score to 92/0 in the power play. Head completed his half-century in 20 balls and attacked fiercely against the MI bowlers, but Mumbai bowlers pulled out the match by taking 3 wickets in the span of 10 runs.

Head was out on the score of 76 runs and Ishan Kishan failed to open his account. The flurry of wickets gave MI fans some respite, but then Heinrich Klaasen brought up his half-century in 22 balls and took the game away from Mumbai Indians, possibly knocking them out of IPL 2026.

Klaasen remained unbeaten on 65 and Salil Arora played a brilliant inning of 30 off 10 balls, helping SRH make it five consecutive wins and also the fourth highest run chase in IPL history.
