Tata Indian Premier League (IPL), 2026, had the first match of the double header on Sunday, match number 19 was between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Gujarat Titans (GT) and GT defeated LSG by 7 wickets to win their second game of the season.
A large number of fans turned up for the LSG vs GT match, as GT captain Shubman Gill won the toss and opted to field first. In the LSG vs GT clash, both the teams went in with unchanged elevens after their respective wins against Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Capitals.

They were in trouble at 118/6, and Abdul Samad also returned cheaply for 18, and last match hero Mukul Choudhary also returned with the same score, and LSG could not avoid gifting a wicket to GT. Aiden Markram was the leading scorer with a score of 30 runs.
LSG could only reach the score of 164/8 with the help of Mohammed Shami and George Linde, who scored as much as possible at the end of the innings. In the end, Linde returned after scoring 16 runs in 10 balls and Shami was out after scoring 12 runs in 5 balls. Prasidh Krishna was the best bowler, taking 4 wickets for 28 runs.
While chasing the target, openers Shubman Gill and Sai Sudarshan got off to a cautious start as they were scoring more than 6 runs per over and LSG bowlers Mohammed Shami and Prince Yadav bowled really well in the first four overs. Then, both took charge and scored runs; However, Sai was out in the final over of the power play.
Then Subhaman Gill and Jos Buttler took command. The former completed his half-century in 34 balls, and Buttler was also playing the attacking role and completed his half-century in just 29 balls, his 100th half-century in the shorter format of the game.
The former player returned to the pavilion on the score of 56 runs in 40 balls. Butler also returned to the pavilion after playing a brilliant inning of 60 runs in 37 balls. There were some twists and turns in LSG vs GT after Buttler’s wicket, but ultimately GT collected two points.
