“It’s a 50-50 game,” Sourav Ganguly was quoted as saying by RevSportz. “You can’t just say that India are ahead because West Indies have many good power-hitters. If even one or two of them click, they can take away the game. India have to play their best cricket.”

Jasprit Bumrah is going to become important – Sourav Ganguly
The bowling matchup will be crucial for India to win the match against the strong batting lineup of the Windies. Ganguly expressed a bit of concern over Varun Chakravarthy’s form, which could easily be read, especially as the South Africans understood that he could be easily handled if played as an off-spinner.
“It is a bit worrying because the batsmen are starting to pick on Varun Chakravarthy,” Ganguly said. “He is an important bowler for India. A wicket-taker.”
Comparing recent matches, he said, “South Africa showed that if you play Varun Chakravarthy as an off-spinner, you can score runs from him. Dewald Brevis did brilliantly against them.”
However, the former BCCI president showed a lot of faith in Jasprit Bumrah, one of India’s most reliable and lethal weapons for big clashes. “Jasprit Bumrah is going to be important,” he declared. “He is the best bowler in India.”
