On the fourth ball of the 53rd over of the final innings, umpire Shafudaula took a terrible LBW decision in favor of the India National Cricket Team.
Prasad Krishna beat Jamie Smith one-one-one-one-one at the middle stump, and English wicketkeeper-batsman was beaten for pace.
Smith looked to play a bridge shot, but he missed and was killed on the back thigh. Following the appeal of Indian players, umpire Shafudaula surprisingly raised his finger, and Jamie Smith was surprised to see this.
The young England wicketkeeper-batsman immediately used a review and survived as an ultra-edge that the ball would remember the stump by a big margin.
After the moments of not being displayed by the third umpire on the big screen, umpire Shafudaula looted the ball towards Mohammad Siraj, which dropped it, and hit him on the head.

Smith was very good – Dinesh Karthik
Speaking on Sky Sports, former India wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik praised Jamie Smith and said:
“Smith has been very good, at least to say. He is hitting some very beautiful shots, but most importantly that he had an imperfect attitude under pressure. He came out, in fact what he wanted to do, and went about to talk in a very calm, calm way.
Meanwhile, former England captain Nasir Hussain praised Shubman Gill’s captaincy. He said:
“England worked hard. Stokes, who did not spend a lot of time in the middle, started searching for his rhythm and the ball was getting softened.
“So it was really a good decision that it had just flicked the front pad. [for Stokes’ lbw dismissal] And to bowl off-spinner Washington for Gill. Gill has found most of the things in that session and even most of us has done deep bowling. ,
Talking about the match, the England National cricket team is struggling at 242/8 in the ongoing match in Birmingham and is still 366 runs away from winning. India will see to wrap the innings quickly to ensure that the rain does not play bad.
