Team India wicketkeeper-son Dhruv Jurlel acted on 2 (Friday, 3 October) on the first Test against the West Indies at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The young batsman, who replaced the injured Rishabh Pant, reached his first century in international cricket in the ongoing match.
Pant, who was appointed as the vice-captain before the England series, was excluded from the West Indies series due to injury. Pant missed the fifth and final test against England, where Jurall was selected on the play in XI. Jurall retained its place in the squad after failing to overcome the testing of the house on time.

Dhruv reached his first Test century on the second day of Ahmedabad test against Juraral West Indies. Hemaden brought a milestone with a border from Roston Chase at the final delivery of the 116th over in India’s first innings.
The 24 -year -old came to number 5 after Shubman Gill’s dismissal in the morning session. He started carefully, killing his first four on only 38th ball. He formed a stable partnership with Ravindra Jadeja for the fifth wicket after KL Rahul was rejected immediately after lunch.
Jurael fought the West Indian spinners, who tried to take advantage of someone outside the leg stump while defending patience and accuracy. He followed the mid-wicket for two sixes, once settled.

Dhruv Jurall became the third Indian wicketkeeper-better to score a hundred at home against the West Indies. He joined MS Dhoni and Farokh Engineer in the Elite List. Dhoni recorded 144 in the 2011 Kolkata test, while the engineer scored 109 runs during the Chennai Test of 1967.
This is Jurael’s second 50-plus score in six tests. The wicketkeeper-better played a 90-run knock against England in Ranchi last year. He has now scored more than 350 runs in nine innings at an average of above 37.
Overall, Jural has killed his third hundred in the first class (FC) cricket. He has scored more than 1,800 FC runs on an average of around 49, with 13 scores fifty or more.
