Which becomes the second largest run-goldter in root test cricket

Ben Docket left for 94 at 94 in the 39th over to bat in the fourth Test at Old Trafford, Manchester. He remained unbeaten at 11 am at the end of the day’s game.

On 3 days, Root started its grinding in the middle and made life difficult for Indian bowlers. He looked under total control and did not even bother with the premiere pacer Jasprit Bumrah.

Root completed his half a century in the match in 99 balls and set his eyes on the triple-figure mark. He kept batting brilliantly and reached the score of 98* before playing a lot of balls and finally completed his century in 178 balls.

The route was very calm as he celebrated his 38th Test hundred and 12th Test tons against India. In particular, there are 12 highest test tons by any batsman in history against India.

Root’s innings in Manchester also also helped him cross Rahul Dravid (13,288), Jacques Kallis (13,289), and Ricky Ponting (13,378), which became the second largest run-run-making in the test history.

Is there an incredible milestone – J Shah has rooted

ICC President J Shah took the X in X to congratulate the route, to become the second largest Test run-scorer and was labeled an incredible milestone. He said:

“An incredible milestone for @Nglandcricket batter @root66 to pass Ricky Ponting of Australia and all time for men to go second in the second place for men and all time for men, one and only one of India’s only @Sachin_RT. Well, which! #WTC27.”

Experienced commentator Harsh Bhogle appreciated the route and said that he could break Sachin Tendulkar’s record, while former India opener Wasim Jafar praised the batsman.

“Route runs for number 2 and must have obstacles on favorite to reach 15922. He has certainly removed himself from all his contemporaries. England play so many tests that, essentially, should conduct all test records. Root has played 157, 12/year in 13 tests. Tendulkar, Tendulkar, comparatively, more than 200 years in 24 years.

Wasim Jafar wrote on X, “Test hundred number 38! Just one more day in the office for the root. What a champion. Well @root66 #angvind,” Wasim Jaffer wrote on X.

Here is told how X reacted to the ton of the root in Manchester:
