In the match number 32 between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) at Ekana Stadium, Lucknow. LSG captain Rishabh Pant won the toss and decided to bowl first. RR had a good start after being invited to bat first. However, Mohammed Shami gave the team a comeback by taking two wickets in two consecutive balls.
However, as for Yashasvi Jaiswal’s first wicket, it was more Rishabh Pant’s wicket as he took a brilliant one-handed catch to dismiss his Indian teammate behind the stumps. When Shami bowled a bouncer, Pant flew over his head with one hand, which Jaiswal took in his hands and Pant did the rest to give the team the first success.

Rishabh Pant has not had a good performance with the bat as he has scored just one half-century in the tournament and questions are also being raised on his captaincy, which has seen a lot of experimentation at the top of the order.
RR’s top order came back quickly
After the first two wickets in the next over, Mohsin Khan dismissed Vaibhav Suryavanshi when the southpaw was under pressure after playing five dot balls and Digvesh Rathi took a good catch. With RR now 32/3 in trouble as their top order is back early once again.
Rajasthan have relied on their top 3 as their middle order has not scored much runs in the IPL so far. Captain Ryan Parag and Shimron Hetmyer have failed to score runs in the tournament, and it will be a big test for the duo as they look to be at the crease and score runs for the franchise to drag the team into the game.

Riyan Parag was unsure and was happy to lose the toss as he did not know what to expect. RR comes into this match after two crushing defeats to Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). RR played the same team that played against KKR. They started well, winning the first four games and now they have lost two games in a row.
Riyan Parag said, “I was trying to lose the toss because I was very confused and I have managed it well. Batting second it has been slow here. So we hope that happens again.” [On the two losses] We batted very well, we made some miscalculations against KKR. There were some mistakes here and there, hopefully we will play well for 40 overs.
