Amit Pasi joins Bilal Asif at the top of global T20 debut chart
The innings, played against Services at the Gymkhana Ground in Hyderabad, saw Pasi equal the world record for the highest individual score on T20 debut, equaling Pakistan’s Bilal Asif, who had set the benchmark in 2015.
The 26-year-old’s innings instantly propelled him into cricket’s statistical spotlight, making him only the third Indian male cricketer to score a T20 century on debut.
Opening the batting, Pasi launched a fearless attack from the start, mixing classical stroke play with raw hitting power. His innings of 114 runs in 55 balls included 10 fours and 9 sixes.
Pasi completed his maiden T20 century in 44 balls, dominating all phases of the innings and posting a mammoth total of 220/5 for Baroda. His innings proved decisive as Baroda won by 13 runs and moved higher into the elite group rankings.
