The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) president Mohsin Naqvi and the Asia Cup 2025 Trophy drama took a fresh turn. There were reports that Mohsin Naqvi has apologized to the BCCI on the Asia Cup Trophy controversy in Dubai.
However, a Jagran news journalist has revealed that Naqvi spoke to an ACC member, not the BCCI said that the way things happened in the entire Continental tournament were not correct. He apologized for the situation, but not the BCCI for the whole incident.

Calling the rumors “cheap publicity”, Naqvi allegedly said, “Indian media thrives on lies, not facts. I have not done anything wrong and never apologized to BCCI.”

Currently, Mohsin Naqvi is still in Dubai, and the trophy is reportedly in his hotel. The reporter also claimed that the Asia Cup Trophy had not yet reached the Asian Cricket Council office in Dubai, and the PCB president is expected to investigate on Thursday, October 2.
However, there is a belief among the BCCI officials that Mohsin Naqvi will not take a trophy in Lahore, so arrangements will have to be made for reaching the ACC office directly.

Behind the curtain, discussion is going on, but BCCI has no plans to file a legal complaint in Dubai.
In the recent ACC annual general meeting, Mohsin Naqvi has demanded that Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav be called back to Dubai to hand over the Asia Cup Trophy to the Champions, but the Indian Cricket Board has clearly rejected the suggestion.

Now, Naqvi has faced public embarrassment on the matter, and can create a new drama to save her image in Pakistan.

Tilak Verma saw India as Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025 finals
Speaking about the final on 28 September, India removed the Asia Cup 2025 in Dubai with a five -wicket win over Pakistan, claiming their ninth title in the history of the tournament.
Tilak Verma scored an unbeaten 69 off 53 balls, guiding India through Chase, while Shivam Dube added a quick 33 runs. Sanju Samson also scored 24 important runs.
Earlier, Kuldeep Yadav took four wickets, and Exer Patel and Varun Chakraborty bowled tightly to limit Pakistan to only 146 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. However, the trophy did not go according to the festival plan.
Naqvi was about to present the trophy, but the Indian players refused to accept it or join hands with the Pakistani squad.
The presentation delayed for about an hour, leaving India to celebrate its victory without organizing a reputed trophy in Dubai. The tournament saw several disciplinary action against the players of both India and Pakistan.
