Former Indian cricketer Sadagopan Ramesh has raised eyebrows on the treatment of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma in the current setup. He slammed BCCI, chief selector Ajit Aggarkar and head coach Gautam Gambhir to sack Rohit Sharma as the ODI captain of India.
Ramesh believes that both Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are under the immense pressure of the current Indian cricket team management despite being nominated in the ODI squad for the upcoming Australia tour. India will play three ODIs in Australia from October 19.

Their presence in national colors is limited, and that is why the selectors have made it clear that Virat and Rohit will be selected purely based on their performance in future games.

Shreyas Iyer has been one of the most consistent middle-order batsmen in Odis, India and has impressed everyone with his captaincy in the IPL. Iyer took KKR to the IPL Trime in 2024, and earlier this year, he captained the Punjab Kings in the final. Delhi Capital also made it to the finals under his captaincy.
