Tim David has been one of the best players for RCB since last season. Australia’s big-hitting middle-order batsman has been a sensation since 2025 and has made significant contributions, especially at the end of the innings.

He was asked if he could face one bowler from another era in the league who would it be. Tim David surprised everyone by jokingly choosing a player like Virat Kohli. However, what was shocking was when David chose Trent Boult to steal a shot from his copybook.
David picked Boult’s ‘Flamingo Block’ as one of the shots he could have chosen as a batsman, among other players in the IPL. He left out Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Vaibhav Suryavanshi and many others and surprisingly chose Boult.

Tim David chose this RCB batsman as his batting partner, not captain Rajat Patidar.
A highlight of the interview was a direct question asking who he would choose as his batting partner if he was tasked with chasing the score of 100 in just five overs.
He claimed that after Qualifier 1, anyone would pick RCB captain Rajat Patidar, who played a blistering inning of 93 runs off just 33 balls; However, David chose West Indies all-rounder and RCB teammate Romario Shepherd as his batting partner.
Although Shepherd has not been able to deliver the promising finishes he has this season, he remains one of the cleanest strikers of the cricket ball. However, he also had the option of chasemaster Virat Kohli whom he could choose as his partner.
David chose ‘Perth’ as foreign venue for IPL match
Tim David was asked if he could move one of the IPL matches to a foreign venue and if so, which ground would it be. On this, the big Australian claimed that he would love to take it to the Optus Stadium in Perth.
He also said that if he could create an unbroken record in the IPL, it would not be a batting record, but he would aspire to finish with the best bowling figures of 10/0. It seemed that David’s answers really had nothing to do with his aspirations, but were merely wild dreams.
