The final of the Asia Cup 2025 between India and Pakistan was a fight of veins, skills and words at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on 28 September. Tilak Verma and Shivam Dubey became the night’s heroes, as they not only inspired India to win an exciting five wickets with Pakistan.
Chasing 147 in the title clash, the Indian cricket team started a bad dream. He slipped up to 20/3 in just four overs, including the big wickets of in-form opener Abhishek Sharma. The pressure on India was sky-high, as Pakistan was at the top after getting quick wickets in the powerplay.

When Tilak Verma went to change the script. While Pakistan bowlers did not put their words back to harass the young Indian gun, they decided to respond in the most powerful way. The left -handed batsman stabilized the innings with the first Sanju Samson (24).

Tilak and Samson added 57 important runs off 50 balls. But the real turnout came when the Hyderabad batsman joined hands with star all-rounder Shivam Dube. He sewed a game-changing 60-rorn standoff in just 40 balls and broke Pakistan’s speed and confidence.
Tilak remained unbeaten at 69 out of 53 balls and hit six against Haris Rauf in the final over. On the other hand, Dube played a fierce knock of 33 off 22 balls to take the game away from Pakistan’s grip. Finally, it was Rinku Singh, who faced his first and only ball of the tournament, who hit a border, which sealed India’s ninth Asia Cup title with two balls.

After the match, Tilak Verma and Shivam Dubey revealed how they handled nonstop sledging from Pakistani bowlers during the final tension. They kept their calm, ignored the noise, and let their bats go back to the match against Pakistan in favor of India.
In the latest video shared by BCCI on his official website, Shivam Dubey said, “I think my bat talked, so he did not get a chance to speak; that’s it. I would say nothing else.”
