On Tuesday, September 23, England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced the ODI and T20I squad for the upcoming series against the New Zealand National Cricket Team.
England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) Selection Committee has decided to give a young woman T20 i call-up to star opening batsman Zak Croly.
Ben Docket, Jamie Smith, and Jofra Archer to relax for T20I
The English team will close the horns in a high-profile white-ball series with the New Zealand National Cricket Team that occurs before the Ashes 2025-26.
Harry Brooke -led side will take Kiwi to Kiwi in the three -match T20I series and the three -match ODI series. On 18 October, the T20I series will be closed in Christchurch, and the second match will be played at the same place on 20 October.
After that, the teams will travel to Auckland on 23 October to conclude the series. The ODI Action will begin on 26 October in Mount Munggui, and the next two 50 over games will be hosted by Hamilton on 29 October and Wellington on 1 November.
The ECB has named Strong Squad for matches against Blackcaps, which will give English players very important sports time and rhythm before traveling to Australia for all important test matches.
Star opening batsman Zak Croly has obtained his first T20I squad call-up, but has not been nominated in the ODI team. Star Paes-Bauling all-rounder Sam Curan has also been added to the ODI squad, as well as with all-rounder Liam Dawson. Meanwhile, Lancashire’s Pesar Luke Wood has also been nominated in the ODI team after impressed in T20I.
The team has decided to rest the Joffra Archer, Ben Docket and Jamie Smith for the T20I matches, and will be replaced by Jordan Cox, Zak Croly and Phil Salat.
Another player, who was in dispute to make it in the White-Ball Squad for a tour of New Zealand, was Pesar Saqib Mahmood, but he missed due to a minor knee surgery he recently did.

In particular, England recently named their squad for the Ashes, in which White-Ball captain Harry Brook has been named as the new vice-captain, which is demoted to Oli Pope.
