New Delhi. The Indian team played against Afghanistan in the Super 8 of the ICC T20 World Cup. Captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bat first. Afghanistan’s captain dashed India’s hopes of a good start by walking out the top batsmen. After the flop of the greats, Suryakumar Yadav took the lead and single-handedly broke the news about the Afghan batsmen. Thanks to this inning, India scored 181 runs for 8 wickets.
In the first match of Super 8 against Afghanistan, the Indian team did not get the start as expected. The top four batsmen of Team India were not given a chance to walk by the bowlers of the Afghan team. Captain Rashid Khan put India on the back foot by taking three big wickets. Rishabh Pant, who was batting stormily, was first dismissed, after which he dismissed Virat Kohli and then took the wicket of Shivam Dubey. Suryakumar pulled the team out of trouble and scored a blazing fifty.
