The Central Zone and East Zone have suffered a massive shock as the first game of Dalip Trophy 2025 was kicked at the BCCI Center of Excellence in Bengaluru on August 28. Both Central Zone captain Dhruv Jurlel and East Zone captain Abhimanyu Ezavaran have been dropped from the first game, increasing India’s tension beyond the Asia Cup 2025.
The young Indian wicketkeeper on Thursday developed a room just before the Duleep Trophy 2025 opener. The Asia Cup 2025 Standby List and Dhruv Jurlel’s name on India is already ready to host four important test matches, the selectors asked him to get him out of the match.
Dhruv Jurlel and Abhimanyu Ezavaran excluded the Dalip Trophy 2025 kick
The BCCI is not ready to risk the Jurall before the upcoming Asia Cup 2025, especially with Rishabh Pant’s fitness. On the other hand, Abhimanyu Ezavaran faced another shock after heating the bench across England.

Ezavaran was assigned the captaincy of the East Zone in the absence of Ishaan Kishan. But fate had other plans, as Ezavaran suddenly got a flu in the morning of the 2025 Dalip Trophy match, and had to sit out of the match.
He missed the opportunity to score runs and remind the selectors of his hunger. Despite being part of many India squads, Ezavaran is still waiting for his opportunity.
BCCI plays it safely with Dhruv Jurall ahead of Asia Cup 2025
A BCCI source was quoted by The Times of India as saying, “Jurael has raised a room on the eve of the match, and he has been asked by the selectors to leave the match.”
The source further said, “He (Juraral) is also in the standbis of the Asia Cup 2025 squad, and the selectors do not want to take any risk. After the Asia Cup, India will play four Test matches at home, and uncertainty (Rishabh) Pant’s injury, Jurall has not been asked to take no risk.”
In the absence of Jurall, RCB captain Rajat Patidar is leading the central region against the north region. Patidar scripted history by leading RCB in his first IPL Crown earlier this year. On the other hand, the leadership of the East Zone has been handed over to Ryan Parag, who captained Rajasthan Royals in the absence of Ezavaran in IPL 2025 earlier this year.
