Asian Cricket Council (ACC) President and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) President Mohsin Naqvi refused to join hands with Pakistan players after the Asia Cup 2025 match. Naqvi expressed disappointment on men at the behest of Blue, saying that politics should not be drawn into cricket.

Mohsin Naqvi faced X (East Twitter) to express disappointment on India’s refusal to join hands with Pakistan players. He gestured against the “spirit of sports” and hoped that the future victory would be celebrated with respect and grace by all teams.

He wrote on X, “It is completely disappointing today to see the lack of sports. Pulling politics in the game is against the great spirit of the game. Let’s hope that the future victory is celebrated with grace by all teams,” he wrote on X (he was previously known as Twitter).
There was no handshake between India and Pakistan after his Asia Cup 2025 clash. Pakistan players moved towards the Indian dressing room, but the doors were closed.
During and later during the presentation ceremony, Suryakumar Yadav clarified that the No-Handshek gesture Pahalgam was associated with the terrorist attack.
Suryakumar said, “Our government and BCCI were formed. We came here and we made a call. We came here to play the game. We gave the appropriate reply. Some things in life are ahead of Sportsman Spirit.”
Prior to the match, the call for a boycott had already reached the Indian dressing room. This will not be the only meeting between the Archaerals in the tournament, as they are expected to meet again in the Super 4 stage.
