India will be taken to Pakistan for the third time in the Asia Cup 2025 at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday, September 28, under the leadership of Suryakumar Yadav. Former India wicketkeeper-son Parthiv Patel has shared his selection for the XI of India beyond the high-profile conflict against his archives.
Men in Blue have so far been the best teams in the Asia Cup, winning every match, including both encounters against Pakistan. In Blue, men are likely to bring their strongest XI to the final for the finals, as the team management has expressed concern over minor injuries to some players in the previous game.
Parthiv Patel liked India to play XI for the Asia Cup 2025 final
Parthiv Patel said that India would open with Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill, who has given a strong start in the powerplay. Abhishek has scored an average of 309 runs on an average of 51.50 with a strike rate of 204.63.
Patel supported Tilak Verma, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya (if Fit), and Axar Patel for the middle order, as wicketkeeper-batter with Sanju Samson. The cricketer-turn-commentator said the situation may be flexible on the basis of the situation.
Patel included Arshdeep Singh, Jaspreet Bumrah, Kuldeep Yadav and Varun Chakraverthi in Patel. He ignored Shivam Dub, who faced 18 delivery while batting. However, Dube has taken five wickets in the economy of 15.60 and 7.80 on an average.
Only two players have been set in that order – Parthiv Patel
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Parthiv Patel said that Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill will open. Patel, unlike India, named seven batting options and four expert bowlers, who depended on the depth of batting in most matches.
“The way our batting is going on, only two players have been set – Abhishek and Gill. Tilak Verma, Suryakumar Yadav, Sanju Samson, Hardik Pandya, Exer Patel, Kuldeep, Arshdeep, Bumrah and Varun,” said.
Parthiv Patel’s Bharat Asia Cup is playing XI for the 2025 final: Abhishek Sharma, Shubman Gill, Tilak Verma, Suryakumar Yadav, Sanju Samson, Hardik Pandya, Axer Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Arshdeep Singh, Jaspreet Bumrah, and Varun Chakriddhi.
Parthiv Patel Backs Shubman Gill for the Player of the Match in the Asia Cup 2025 final
Parthiv Patel said that Shubman Gill would shine in the final of the Asia Cup 2025 against Pakistan. Patel predicted that Gill would become the ‘match player’. He said that Gill and Abhishek Sharma are likely to have the most opportunities to create a significant impact.
“I think Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma will have the most opportunities as they play at the top. I think Shubman Gill may be the match players,” Patel said.
Gill has a mixed Asia Cup 2025 so far, with a strike rate of 115 runs in six matches at an average of 23 and a strike rate of 155.40. While his overall form has been below expectations, he scored 47 off 28 balls against Pakistan in Super 4 Clash.
The right -handed batsman will be convinced of copying such a match winning performance in the final against the same team.
