How was CSK’s performance in IPL 2025?
Chennai Super Kings had a poor performance in the Indian Premier League 2025, finishing last in the points table with 4 wins and 10 losses in 14 matches.
The five-time Indian Premier League (IPL) champions finished their campaign with 8 points and -0.647 NRR, their worst season in the history of the competition.
CSK started the season with a win against Mumbai Indians, but things soon turned sour. They continued to be on a losing streak for a long time, suffering defeats against RCB, RR, DC, PBKS and KKR. Even in matches where they fought hard, the Super Kings ultimately ended up losing.
Their second win came against LSG, where they remained composed in the face of a tough challenge, but once again consistency was missing and they suffered consecutive defeats against MI, SRH, PBKS and RCB.
Chennai Super Kings’ third win came against KKR by 2 wickets, but again they lost their next match against RR by 6 wickets. In their final match, the Yellow Army gave their best performance and registered an 83-run win over Gujarat Titans. Overall, CSK showed bits of quality but lacked rhythm and had a forgettable campaign.
