Gill tried to beat Roston Chase but made a mistake in his execution. He came out and went for another big shot, but the timing was not right. The ball went high in the air and landed straight in the hands of Justin Greaves at midwicket.

Earlier, Sai Sudarshan also lost his wicket while playing an aggressive shot on Chase’s ball. Their aggressive intent cost them a defeat, leading to India losing two quick wickets. However, KL Rahul batted without taking too many risks after hitting the box on the fourth day and led India to victory against West Indies.

Rahul remained unbeaten after playing a brilliant inning of 58 runs with the help of six fours and two sixes in 108 balls at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Chasing a modest target of 121 runs at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, India ended the fourth day at 63 for 1 in just 18 overs.

Although Yashasvi Jaiswal was dismissed early, a quiet partnership between Sai Sudarshan and KL Rahul ensured that India remained firmly on track to clinch the series on Day 5.

However, the fourth day was not entirely one-sided. West Indies had earlier shown remarkable fight in their second innings. A brilliant 79-run partnership for the last wicket between Justin Greaves (50*) and Jayden Seales (32) frustrated the Indian bowlers and took their total to a respectable 390 after being asked to follow on.

Their resistance troubled India’s bowlers for most of the session. It was a memorable day for West Indies opener John Campbell, who scored his maiden Test century with determination and grit. Shai Hope also ended his eight-year-long wait for a Test century, guiding his team through crucial stages.
