India National Cricket Team can run on the ground without jersey sponsor in the upcoming Asia Cup 2025, which starts from 9 September in UAE. Those iconic blue jersey is likely to be the first time in years without brand logo.
It comes after the BCCI finished the sponsored deal with Dream 11, which was forced to take out after the new online gaming act. The time could not be bad, as the BCCI has very little time to sign a jersey sponsor with a tournament starting on 9 September.
A meeting of an emergency Apex Council, which was chaired by Rajiv Shukla, President of Interim BCCI, discussed the issue on 28 August. Although the board officials are confident to achieve a long -term sponsor by the ICC Cricket World Cup 2027, sources revealed that to finalize the deal before the upcoming continental tournament.

As mentioned by India Today, the India National Cricket Team led by Suryakumar Yadav is almost certain to play “without jersey sponsors” in the upcoming Asia Cup 2025. This will be a very rare scene when Indian stars sports jersey without sponsors.
However, behind the curtain, the BCCI is working hard to ensure that they have a sponsor before the tournament, where men in Blue will stop their campaign against UAE on September 10 in Dubai on 10 September, followed by a big game against Pakistan on 14 September.
BCCI Dream11 confirms the deal
Meanwhile, BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia has recently confirmed that the partnership with Dream 11 has ended, and the board has already started the process of finding a new title sponsor for Indian cricket teams.
Devjit Saikia was told by PTI: “Our stand is very clear. With government rules, BCCI Dream 11 or any such gaming company cannot continue its sponsorship relations. Under new restrictions, there is no scope, and we are facing a road with Dream 11.”

Fantasy gaming giants forced after new law
Recently, BCCI has been killed with a major shock. The two fantasy gaming veterans were contributing to about ₹ 1,000 crore to BCCI through sponsorship of gaming giant Dream11 and My111CIRCLE National Cricket Team and IPL. Dream 11 alone signed a large -scale deal as India’s title sponsor until 2026.
But everything has changed after the new online gaming act. The law clearly banned any promotion or advertisement of the money-based online game, which means that companies like Dream11 and My11Circle can no longer be a part of Indian cricket in any way.
India’s Asia Cup 2025 Squad set UAE without backup
Meanwhile, the BCCI has decided that any of the five standby players – Joshsvi Jaiswal, Prasad Krishna, Washington Sundar, Ryan Parag, and Dhruv will visit Dubai with the main squad for the upcoming Asia Cup 2025 at UAE.
Typically, standby players travel with the main squad, but this time, the board has taken a bold step by putting them back in India. This means that the 15-member squad selected for the tournament will have to manage in Dubai without any immediate backup.
