Australia has named the 14-member team for the upcoming three-match T20I series in New Zealand. Senior all-rounder Marcus Stoinis returns to the National T20 Eye setup after more than 10 months, giving him another opportunity to stake his claim before the 2026 T20 World Cup in the subcontinent.

Marcus Stoinis returns as Australia’s name, 14-member squad for New Zealand T20I series
Michelle Marsh will lead the T20I squad for the upcoming series against New Zealand. Marcus Stoinis, who had retired from Odis earlier this year and was without national or state contracts for the last 12 months, last played for Australia in November 2024, but was included in the squad.
Stoinis has scored 1,245 runs and took 45 wickets in 74 T20I. He last depicted against Pakistan in Hobart, scoring an unbeaten 61 off 27 balls to guide Australians to a comfortable pursuit. The six -day New Zealand tour will serve as an important platform for players to put their claim at stake for the World Cup squad.
Matthew Short and Mitchell Owen are also included. Short returns after recovering from a side strain during training in Jamaica, while Owen rejected the side after a fusion that kept out of the South Africa series.

Xavier Bartlett is remembered, while backup keeper Alex Kerry and all -rounder Aaron Hardy, who was called as an injury replacement for the South Africa series, Miss Out.
