The India national cricket team’s new T20 jersey for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 was officially unveiled on Wednesday, December 3.
The big jersey reveal took place during the mid-innings break of the second ODI between the India national cricket team and the South Africa national cricket team at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur.
Rohit Sharma and Tilak Verma handed over new T20I jerseys
India lost their 20th consecutive toss in the second ODI against the Proteas and were invited to bat first in the match. He made sure to make the most of the decision and put up a big score on the board.
Although openers Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal did not fare well, centuries from Ruturaj Gaikwad and Virat Kohli took the momentum towards the hosts before KL Rahul finished things on a strong note, taking India to 358/5.
A small ceremony was held at the venue after the end of the first innings, where Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Devjit Saikia was also present.
The Indian team’s new T20I jersey was unveiled during the ceremony, before Devjit Saikia and a representative from Adidas handed over the new jerseys to Rohit Sharma and Tilak Verma.
Notably, Rohit Sharma, who is the only Indian player to win two T20 World Cup titles – one as a player and one as captain – is the brand ambassador of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026.
Talking about the jersey, it has a dark blue base, designed with vertical stripes in two shades of blue – a dark navy blue and a slightly lighter royal blue. These alternating stripes run from top to bottom, giving the jersey a bold, textured look.
On both sides of the torso, there are attractive orange panels that add contrast, and the collar is styled in a V-neck design, flanked by the tricolour, representing the Indian national flag.
The ICC T20 World Cup 2026 will be played from February 7 to March 8, 2026 across 8 different venues in India and Sri Lanka.
The India national cricket team has been drawn in Group A along with the United States, Pakistan, Netherlands and Namibia. Apart from this, a fierce clash is going to take place between the arch rivals India national cricket team and Pakistan national cricket team on 15th February in Colombo.
