India’s opener and Karnataka captain Mayank Agarwal is ready to make his county debut in the ongoing County Championship in England after the upcoming Asia Cup 2025 ignoring the UAE on 9 September.

As reported by Espncricinfo, Mayank Agarwal has signed a short -term deal with Yorkshire County Cricket Club for the remaining of the county championship season. The 34 -year -old has joined a long list of Indian stars making waves in England this year.

Aggarwal will join the Yorkshire Squad before his county clash against the Samarset in Toonton on 8 September, and he expects a facility in three matches before leading Karnataka in the Ranji Trophy 2025-26.

Saurashtra bowler Jaydev Unadkat is set to join Sussex next month.

Team India stops preparation of Asia Cup 2025 in Dubai

Meanwhile, the Asia Cup defending champions are set to start their final phase of preparation of Asia Cup 2025 at the ICC Academy in Dubai on Friday (5 September) evening. The training is scheduled from 6 to 9 pm and the first time the entire team will come together before the Continental tournament.

This time, unlike previous years, no special camp was arranged in India for the tournament. Instead, the BCCI has asked all players to reach Dubai directly and participate in extended practice sessions before their initial game against UAE on 10 September.

The reason behind extended practice sessions is that the players are to help use the terms of the UAE to prepare better for the tournament.

Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya touch touch in Dubai

Captain Suryakumar Yadav and all -rounder Hardik Pandya are among the first people to reach Dubai. Indian head coach Gautam Gambhir will come from Mumbai on Thursday evening, while the new vice-captain, Shubman Gill, will travel from Bangalore.

There will be no group travel for the team, as each player is flying separately and is connecting at different times.

However, a member of each squad is expected to be in Dubai by Thursday evening. From Friday, the preparation will officially begin with the first full practice session.
