“They come on the field and there is healthy competition. Bangladesh did really well in the last series against India. Whenever these two countries play, especially when India travels to Bangladesh, it is always very high-intensity cricket.”

The former Bangladesh captain admitted that challenges still exist between the two cricket boards. However, he expressed confidence that the newly formed ad-hoc committee will work through the discussions and ensure bilateral series takes place.
Tamim Iqbal said, “I am very optimistic. There will always be issues and it is the responsibility of the cricket board to resolve them. We have a new cricket board now, an ad-hoc committee has been put in place, and I am sure there will be communication and dialogue.”
“At the end of the day, cricket should win. Regardless of anything, cricket should always win and that’s what I’m going to work towards.”
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has not officially confirmed its participation in the proposed tour. Schedule The tour consists of three ODIs and three T20Is in September 2026 following the cancellation of the white-ball tour originally planned for 2025, announced by the Bangladesh Cricket Board.
