The noise of Pakistan withdrawing from the upcoming T20 World Cup 2026 is getting louder and funnier with each passing day. Pakistan had started off with serious tension, but now it has turned into full-on social media drama with smaller cricket nations jumping in and enjoying the moment.

After Iceland, Uganda has now openly raised their hand and said that they are ready to step in if Pakistan pulls out of the upcoming T20 World Cup 2026. Uganda Cricket’s official social media handles joined in the fun on Thursday, January 29, making it clear that they are ready for the big stage even if the Men in Blue pull out at the last minute.

All this is happening just a few days before the T20 World Cup 2026 starting from February 7. 20 teams will take part in the tournament, but with less than 10 days left, there is still no clear answer on whether Pakistan will take part or not.

Naqvi clarified that the final decision will depend on Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. After meeting the Prime Minister, Naqvi said that the final decision will be announced on January 30 or February 2.
