Mumbai and Punjab Kings all-rounder Suryansh Shedge has officially replaced Nitish Kumar Reddy in the Indian squad for the upcoming T20I series against the Ireland national cricket team and the England national cricket team.
Nitish Kumar Reddy has been ruled out of the upcoming T20I matches against the Irish and English teams due to his quadriceps injury.
BCCI has named Suryansh Shedge in place of Nitish Kumar Reddy.
Suryansh Shedge has received the call-up for his heroics for India A in the recently concluded tri-series in Sri Lanka as well as his stellar performances for Mumbai and Punjab Kings.
“Nitish complained of discomfort in his left quadriceps after the third ODI against Afghanistan on June 20. Following subsequent medical evaluation, the BCCI medical team has recommended a period of rehabilitation, ruling him out of both T20 series,” the BCCI said.
