The Suryakumar Yadav-led India national cricket team will take on the Mitchell Marsh-led Australia national cricket team in the third T20I of the five-match series on Sunday, November 2.
India national cricket team won the match against Australia national cricket team by 5 wickets at Bellerive Oval, Hobart to level the series 1-1. The next match will be played on 6 November in Carrara.
India performed impressively
In the match, Team India surprisingly won the toss and chose to bowl first. They made three changes to the playing eleven, dropping Sanju Samson, Kuldeep Yadav and Harshit Rana and replacing them with Jitesh Sharma, Washington Sundar and Arshdeep Singh.
Left-arm fast bowler Arshdeep Singh gave India a great start by taking two wickets in his first two overs. However, Tim David made a comeback for his team with a sensational inning of 74 runs.
Then, Marcus Stoinis scored a sensational 64 while Matthew Short played a quickfire 26 as Australia posted a massive score of 186/6 on the board. Arshdeep Singh took three wickets, Varun Chakraborty took two wickets and Shivam Dubey took one wicket.
Chasing the target, Abhishek Sharma (25), Suryakumar Yadav (24), Tilak Verma (29), Washington Sundar (49*) and Jitesh Sharma (22*) played sensational innings to help India win with 9 balls to spare.

Speaking to Adam Gilchrist during the post-match presentation ceremony, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav said that winning the toss was extremely important for them as they were losing a lot. He said:
“(On finally winning the toss) Yes, it felt like we had lost 19 or 20 tosses in a row, so it was great to break that sequence. It was important to win the toss today, and I am really happy with the way the team performed.”
Suryakumar further said that the three changes made by India were very good as all of them contributed and hinted at longer roles for Jitesh Sharma, Arshdeep Singh and Washington Sundar. He said:
“(On the changes working) Absolutely. Those guys were working really hard and waiting for their chances. Vashi (Washington Sundar) showed great resilience, Jitesh contributed well and Arshdeep was excellent. It felt like it was the right combination tonight.”

Suryakumar Yadav further said that Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh make a lethal pair for India, just like Shubman Gill and Arshdeep Singh do in the batting department. He also expressed his excitement about playing the fourth T20 match in Carrara. Suryakumar Yadav said:
“Yes, they are a brilliant pair (Bumrah and Arshdeep) – a bit like Shubman and Abhishek above. Bumrah does his job quietly, keeps it tight and Arshdeep takes advantage from the other end.
“Together, they are really a lethal combination. It (the series is tied 1-1) has been beautifully prepared. We are moving to a new venue, so it will be a new challenge, but the boys are confident and enjoying their cricket.”
